Metallica’s upcoming ninth studio album may be released in Q3 of 2008. The album will be the band’s first record release through Warner Bros. Records, although they still remain with Warner Music Group, which owned their previous label, Elektra Records. The record will be the band’s first studio album to feature current bassist Robert Trujillo as well as the first to be produced by Rick Rubin.
