Akis Tourkogiorgis and Blue Airways it’s a trio performed by the following members:
Akis Tourkogiorgis (Guitar - Vocals)
Makis Gioulis (Drums)well known from the work with the legendary group Socrates.
Spyros Mazis (Bass) well known for his work with many greek music artists with the last well known Mihali Hatzigiannis.
Panos Kolovos Extra Member (Guitar Vocals)

They move through the Classic Rock and Blues sound with a special own way playing songs that the world has loved but do not hear them often live.
That night will also present their new work that it will released soon.

“As the years go by more and more it’s the need to do things that you really like and feel.” say our friend Akis Tourkogiorgis.
“Things that really comes out without any force because simply exist inside you and just need a way out.On the Live at Vinillion at 26th march we will have the chance to share with all of you all these that keep us alive and not those that we have too do.”

For all those who don’t know Akis Tourkogiorgis from the music business.

Akis Tourkogiorgis was born and raised at Piraias.
His love and talent in music was found at early ages but his serious occupation came at the early years of high school when he firtly started to study the big guitarists of the era like Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Leslie West, Johnny Winter, BB King, John Spathas, and also John Mc Laughlin and others.
He took classic guitar lessons and harmony and after he joined the legendaty group of Sokrates.

On 1982 he creates his first own group by the name Poem with his compositions that plays and sings.
On 1983 his first work as a guest on the LP “Enexyro” By Dimos Moutsis, it opens the road of a great discographic future work as a guitarist and compositor.

His partership with great well known artists cover a great music phase with names like Mikis Theodorakis up to Kostas Mpigalis and many other’s that really are too many to put them here.
It’s good to mention that for many years he is a partner with Mihalis Hatzigiannis.

On 1992 he releases his first personal instrumental album titled Kalliostro By Virgin Records, and at 1995 his second album titled Aggeloi Diavoloi By FM Records.

On 1999 he releases his first book “The electric guitar and it’s technic” By Publisher Fagotto that did great success and still does and at 2005 he releases his second book “The electric guitar and it’s technic 2″

He worked as a teacher at Filippos Nakas music school and he teaches at the Odeio Texnis of George Fakanas.

He’s last work is the creation of the group Akis Tourkogiorgis and Blue Airways and to his future target it’s including the creation of a blues album in partnership with his brother Antonis Tourkogiorgis.

The trio group of Akis Tourkogiorgis some times will become quartet with the help of an extra fourth member by the name Panos Kolovos (guitar and vocals).

Οι “Akis Tourkogiorgis and Blue Airways“, είναι ένα τρίο που αποτελείται από καταξιωμένους μουσικούς εδώ και χρόνια: τον Άκη Τουρκογιώργη (κιθάρα-φωνητικά),

τον Μάκη Γιούλη (τύμπανα), γνωστό κυρίως από την συνεργασία του με τους θρυλικούς Socrates, και Σπύρο Μάζη (μπάσο), που έχει υπάρξει συνεργάτης πολλών γνωστών Ελλήνων καλλιτεχνών με πιο πρόσφατο τον Μ. Χατζηγιάννη.

Κινούνται στον χώρο του Classic Rock και Blues με ένα δικό τους τρόπο, παίζοντας κομμάτια που ο κόσμος έχει αγαπήσει, αλλά δεν ακούει συχνά σε live. Θα παρουσιάσουν επίσης δική τους δουλειά που σύντομα θα δισκογραφηθεί.

“Όσο τα χρόνια περνούν, τόσο πιο επιτακτική γίνεται η ανάγκη να κάνεις πράγματα που πραγματικά σε εκφράζουν”, μας λέει ο φίλος Άκης. “Πράγματα που σου βγαίνουν αβίαστα γιατί, απλά υπάρχουν μέσα σου και απλά ζητούν μια διέξοδο. Στο live, στο “Vinilion” στις 26 του Μάρτη θα έχουμε την ευκαιρία να παίξουμε και να μοιραστούμε μαζί σας αυτά που μας εκφράζουν και όχι αυτά που πρέπει”.

Για όσους -ευτυχώς λίγους- δεν γνωρίζουν τον Άκη Τουρκογιώργη από τα μουσικά δρώμενα:

Ο Άκης Τουρκογιώργης γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στον Πειραιά.
Η κλίση του στην μουσική φάνηκε σε μικρή ηλικία, αλλά η σοβαρή ενασχόληση με αυτήν ήρθε στα χρόνια του Λυκείου, όταν ξεκίνησε να μελετάει τους μεγάλους κιθαρίστες της εποχής.
Λάτρης του hard rock και των blues, με πρότυπα όπως Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Leslie West, Johnny Winter, BB king, Γιάννη Σπάθα, αλλά και John Mc Laughlin, Joe Pass κ.α.
Ακολουθούν σπουδές κλασσικής κιθάρας και αρμονίας, και κατόπιν η συμμετοχή του στο θρυλικό group των Socrates.

Το 1982 δημιουργεί το πρώτο δικό του group τους Poem, με συνθέσεις του, όπου παίζει κιθάρα και τραγουδάει.

Το 1983 η πρώτη του δισκογραφική συμμετοχή στο LP «Ενέχυρο» (Δήμου Μούτση), του ανοίγει τον δρόμο μιας μεγάλης δισκογραφικής πορείας ως κιθαρίστα άλλα και ως συνθέτη.

Η συνεργασίες του με πολύ γνωστούς καλλιτέχνες καλύπτουν ένα μεγάλο μουσικό φάσμα (από Μ.Θεοδωράκη έως Κ. Μπίγαλη) και είναι πάρα πολλές ώστε να αναφερθούν όλες, πλην του ότι εδώ και πολλά χρόνια είναι συνεργάτης του Μιχάλη Χατζηγιάννη.

Το 1992 κυκλοφορεί τον πρώτο του προσωπικό δίσκο instrumental με τίτλο «Κalliostro» (Virgin Records), και το 1995 τον δεύτερο, «Άγγελοι Διάβολοι» (FM Records).

Το 1999 κυκλοφορεί το πρώτο του βιβλίο «Η ηλεκτρική κιθάρα και η τεχνική της» (εκδόσεις Fagotto) που σημείωσε μεγάλη επιτυχία και συνεχίζει, και το 2005 το δεύτερο με τον ίδιο τίτλο (νο 2).

Έχει διδάξει στο ωδείο «Φίλιππος Νάκας», και διδάσκει στο «Ωδείο Τέχνης» του Γιώργου Φακανά.

Πρόσφατη δραστηριότητα η δημιουργία των «Akis Tourkogiorgis and Blue Airways», και στους μελλοντικούς στόχους περιλαμβάνεται ηχογράφηση blues δίσκου, σε συνεργασία με τον αδελφό του Αντώνη Τουρκογιώργη.

Το τρίο με την βοήθεια ενός extra μέλους θα γίνεται κάποιες στιγμές κουαρτέτο.
Extra μέλος για την πρώτη τους εμφάνιση στο club “Vinilion”, θα είναι ο φίλος κιθαρίστας και vocalist, Πάνος Κολοβός.
