Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (also known as AVP:R) is the 2007 sequel to 2004’s Alien vs. Predator. Filming began on September 25, 2006 in Vancouver with Tom Woodruff, Jr. and Alec Gillis from Amalgamated Dynamics handling the special effects (as they did for the previous installment) and Daniel Pearl as director of photography.
The Brothers Strause (Colin and Greg Strause) directed the movie from a script by Shane Salerno. Actors Steven Pasquale and Reiko Aylesworth play leading roles in the film.
On board the Predator ship and immediately after the events of Alien vs. Predator we see the body of Predator (“Scar”) erupt with a Chestburster. The chestburster has taken the characteristics of the predator and quickly grows into a new breed of alien called a Predalien. It later sneaks into a Predator Scout ship that was attached to the main ship and attacks and kills another Predator onboard the ship.
