Description:
The 1958 ill-fated Japanese expedition to Antarctica inspired the 1983 hit movie Nankyoku Monogatari. Eight Below is the fictional re imagining of the true events of the 1958 occurrence moved forward to 1993, the last year that sled dogs were used in Antarctica.
Eight Below is a Walt Disney Pictures film directed by Frank Marshall and written by David DiGilio, which was released on February 17, 2006 in the United States. It was rated PG for some peril and brief mild language.
