It was produced by Neal H. Moritz and was released by Columbia Pictures in North America on May 2, 2008. The film includes the last ever screen appearance of the Academy Award winning Sydney Pollack.
Tom and Hannah met in college in 1998 when he accidentally slipped in her bed thinking she was her roommate. He was impressed how feisty and honest she was. He always had girls flinging themselves at him but Hannah was against all that.
