Description:
Set in 1944, after the Franco army’s victory, Pan’s Labyrinth follows the tale of Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) and her mother Carmen (Ariadna Gil) moving to a rural part of Northern Spain to live with Carmen’s new husband Capitán Vidal (Sergi López) at a time when Spain is being repressed by fascism.
Dealing with the turbulence of having a military, fascist father, Ofelia enters an alternative world where she meets a Faun (Doug Jones) who believes her to be a princess from its world. In order to ensure that she is not mortal and that she can return to her kingdom, the Faun tasks her with three challenges that she must complete before the moon is full.
