Thought parts 1-22 were the stand alone version of Ultimate v12 and that parts 1 & 2 of “Upgrade from Studio Plus To Ultimate v12″ were the upgrade files. When I went to install Ultimate v12, the setup program couldn’t find an earlier version so it wanted me to insert the disk of an earlier version…. which stopped the installation.

Just to confirm … Ultimate v11 is a stand alone program and I will have to install this version before I can install Ultimate v12 as an upgrade? … and will just the “Upgrade from Studio Plus To Ultimate v12″ files be all of what I will need? … or will I have to download all 25 parts or so of Version 11?

The first 22 files are the stand alone version of Ultimate v12 mate.
Did you follow the info?

1. execute the crack BEFORE installation
2. create this registry key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Pinnacle Systems\Studio\Install]
2. start the setup
no need for a previous version

If you have already installed v11 just use the upgrade option and you are all setup mate.

Another thought … is there a way to import the bonus DVD content from V11 w/o installing V11?

I am glad that worked for you mate.
I think they should be inside the iso file in a text file or nfo file.
For the other though i am not sure mate.
Have you tried?

This is a though that we have to work out.

I looked in the ISO file … but did not find any instructions.

Will try to run the bonus DVD and import to v12 in the near future. Will let you how I make out.

Downloaded all 40 parts of the Studio 11’s Bonus DVD ISO file without problems. However there were a couple of the download servers that didn’t have some of the ISO file “parts” … this could have been the result previous download problems mentioned above.

Instructions for importing into Studio 12

1. Studio 11’s Content DVD (or files) can be imported into Studio 12 by using the the Pinnacle Content Transfer Wizard (Studio 12) which is located in:
Start/All Programs/Pinnalce Studio 12/tools/Transfer content … then follow instructions
Notes: a. Studio 12 need to be installed first.
b. Run Studio 12’s Transfer Wizard to allow the installation of Studio 11’s Bonus DVD, otherwise it will not install.

2. Install Studio 11’s Bonus DVD (ISO files needs to be extracted first to do this or burn to DVD to be able to run program)

3. After Bonus DVD installation, run the Transfer Wizard again to transfer files to Studio 12.

Good luck … now I need to do is to learn how to use the program!
