TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress is a High quality Video encoder software, based on the famous “TMPGEnc Plus 2.5″ and completely reworked to offer beginner and advanced users, the ease of work and quality that can be expected from a modern software. TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress natively supports source files in MPEG-1/2 format, unprotected DVD-Video VOB, Windows Media Video®, uncompressed AVI and QuickTime® files.
Furthermore, the code has been optimized to take advantage of the Intel® Prescott® SSE-3 acceleration to output MPEG files with higher performance and without losing quality. Output format is no more limited to MPEG, TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress offers native interface for Windows Media Video®.
It has also introduced the XDVD (extended DVD) format, a unique and original format that allows to make MPEGs for High Image Quality and Long Playing DVD’s, pushing the DVD-Video standard to its limits!!!

TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress includes the main features of TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 released in December 2001. But new features have been added too. This is a high quality multi-video format encoder software. Not only video files such as AVI to MPEG files, but also sources like “Recorded DVD” or “Windows Media File” can be converted. And, its performance and usability has been especially improved. The encoding quality is also better with the new “TMPGEnc Advance MPEG-1/2 Encode Engine”.
Otherwise, thanks to the “Video Mastering Engine”, DVD videos can be edited in XDVD, the new high compression mode. It will stretch out the recordable time of your future DVD! At last but not least, the new “Technical Wizard” interface and the “video editing basic functions” allow smoother control for both beginners and professional users.
Also, TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress supports TMPGEnc Sound Plug-in AC-3. Which allows Dolby Digital (AC-3) 2ch audio decoding and encoding. *TMPGEnc Sound Plug-In AC-3 can be downloaded and purchased, separately or in bundle. Of course, customers who already have this plug-in, can also use it with TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress.
